Writing Assignment 2: Internet History

Each week, you'll be assigned blog writing assignments based on the week's topics. My expectations for your writing are outlined in the syllabus. This first blog has no specific referencing requirements, but I would encourage you to use references (such as the week's assigned readings) to support your arguments.

Choose a particular internet technology or development from the year 1994 or earlier. Identify when this development occurred, describe and discuss this development, and present an argument about how the internet you use today was influenced by this development. Some potential topics might be TCP/IP, newsgroups, IRC, hypertext, or the privatization of the US internet backbone.

Title your post "COM125 Assignment 2:" in addition to your own catchy title so I will know which post to grade. Remember to label your post com125.
